Hilarious and heart-warming? Check. Award-winning? Yep, you can check that too!

Bringing communities together through laughter

Not content with writing, producing and performing one-woman shows, Jenny is also the founder of Funny Mummies™ – a vibrant online community designed to improve women’s mental health through comedy.

As a passionate mental health advocate, Jenny wants to use laughter as a healing tool to bring mums together through shared experiences.

As a mum of three, and step-mum of another three, Jenny knows that family life isn’t always like the Brady Bunch. And it doesn’t always define us. (Or not all of us, at least.)

That’s why Funny Mummies™ doesn’t just get mums in the audience laughing hysterically. It also empowers mums to get out of their comfort zone and strut their stuff on stage.

Funny Mummies produces live stand-up shows performed by mothers for mothers. In September 2020, the Funny Mummies™ Comedy Gala was the first post-COVID-19 tour to hit the road in Queensland, and has now reached nearly 50 remote communities and more than 4,000 audience members.

(Sometimes, the audience was bigger than the town population itself!)

More than laughs, Funny Mummy is also quite the page turner. In fact, Jenny moves through life with such passion, energy, humour and heartbreak, I needed ventolin to keep up. Fabulous!
