Christmas Improv Musical Comedy Show - FAQ

About the Show

What exactly is the show?

Jenny delivers a one-hour improvised musical comedy performance built entirely from your team's suggestions. Before the show begins, we give suggestion forms to your team with prompts for them to fill out. Things like “all I want for Christmas is” or “favourite place to holiday”. These suggestion cards are then put into a glass bowl onstage, and the show begins! Jenny - accompanied by a musician - picks up one card at a time and transforms the suggestions into an original improvised show of musical comedy on the spot. No two shows are ever the same: it's completely tailored to your team and your team alone!

Is it really all improvised?

Yes. Jenny creates songs in real-time based on what your staff share. There's no pre-written material. What you see is genuinely made up on the spot, which is what makes it so engaging and hilariously relevant to your workplace.

How does Jenny get the material?

Jenny gets most of her inspiration from the written suggestion cards, but will also chat with the audience. She's brilliant at making people feel comfortable and drawing out the funny, relatable moments that help create the show.

Is it safe for work?

Absolutely. Jenny keeps everything professional and workplace-appropriate whilst still being genuinely funny. She's performed for major corporate clients including The NRMA, Arnott's Group and Vicinity Centres: she knows how to read a room and keep it fun without crossing lines.

Will my staff be forced to participate?

No. Participation is always, always voluntary. Jenny creates a welcoming atmosphere where people want to get involved, but there's zero pressure. Even those who prefer to watch have a brilliant time.

Will Jenny make fun of my people?

No. This is celebratory comedy, not roast comedy. Jenny's approach is always kind, warm, and inclusive. She celebrates your team's quirks and stories rather than mocking them. As one client put it, she's "compassionate and hilarious": she honours people's experiences whilst finding the humour in relatable workplace moments. Your staff will feel seen and appreciated, not embarrassed or singled out.

Logistics & Booking

How long is the performance?

60 minutes. Jenny can adjust slightly if needed to fit your schedule, but the sweet spot is 45-60 minutes of high-energy musical comedy.

What are Jenny's AV requirements?

We're completely flexible. If your venue has a PA system, that's great: we'll work with what you've got. If not, no worries: we can bring our own. Your quote includes a technical rep (Jon M Wilson) who'll be there on the day to handle all the back end, and he'll chat with your venue staff beforehand to make sure everything runs smoothly. You don't need to stress about the technical side: we've got it sorted.

Can she perform virtually?

Yes, Jenny has delivered successful hybrid and fully virtual performances. The interactive element still works online: she's done it for clients including Newcastle Building Society (UK), Connell Griffin and more.

What's the booking process?

Simple. Reply to confirm your interest and preferred date, Jenny's team sends through a quote and contract, you confirm, and Jenny handles the rest. She'll touch base before the event to understand your team's vibe and any key themes you'd like included.

How much does it cost?

Cost varies depending on your event date, location, and specific requirements. The fee includes Jenny's performance, musical accompanist, technical support from Jon Wilson on the day, and all coordination with your venue. Get in touch for a tailored quote: and remember, book by 15 November to receive the bonus bespoke company song.

What's included in the 15 November early booking bonus?

Jenny will create an original company song during your event, then provide you with a professionally recorded MP3 and lyric sheet as a keepsake. It's a one-off piece that captures your team's personality: perfect for sharing internally or keeping as a memento of a ripper Christmas party.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as possible. Dates are filling up fast, and Jenny can only be in one place at a time. If you're keen on having her at your event, lock it in now to avoid disappointment.

Does Jenny travel?

Yes. Jenny is based in Brisbane but performs across Australia and internationally. Travel and accommodation costs are factored into quotes.

The Experience

What if our team is shy or not naturally funny?

That's Jenny's superpower. She makes everyone feel comfortable and is all about friendly participation by invitation only. Having suggestions in written form means that everybody - even the quietest introverts - can participate comfortably. You don't need comedians on staff: you just need people willing to write down suggestions on paper!

What happens if something goes wrong or the audience doesn't engage?

Jenny's a seasoned professional with over 20 years of live performance experience. She's brilliant at reading rooms, adapting on the fly, and getting even the toughest crowds laughing. The improvised nature of the show means she can pivot instantly if needed.

Will this actually be funny, or is it just 'corporate entertainment'?

Check the testimonials: clients consistently rave about how hard they laughed. Jenny's an award-winning comedian and cabaret artist, not just a motivational speaker with a joke book.

What makes this different from a regular comedian or keynote speaker?

Three things: it's improvised (so it's specifically about YOUR team’s suggestions), it's musical (songs are memorable and engaging and catchy), and it's participatory (your staff become part of the show, which creates connection and shared memories).

Can we record the show?

Yes, with prior arrangement to make sure we get the best recording. Many clients love having footage of their event. Just let Jenny's team know in advance so they can factor it into the technical setup.

Still Got Questions?

I need to run this past my manager/team: can you send more information?

Absolutely. Reply to this email and we'll send through whatever you need: previous event photos, extended testimonials, detailed logistics info, you name it.

Can we have a quick call to discuss?

Of course. Jenny's team is happy to jump on a call to answer your specific questions and help you determine if this is the right fit for your event. Just let us know your availability.

I acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi, Wakka Wakka and Butchulla peoples, the First Nation Traditional Owners of Country, and custodians of the land and waters on which I live and work, and all the peoples who have welcomed me on Country. I pay respects to all Elders past and present and acknowledge the young leaders who are working beside Elders in our cultural industries in the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices.
