A triumph of enthusiasm

Was just chatting with my beautiful friend Mary (who shared her very goose-bump-inspiring dream in the vlog comments, of having a one-stop shared arts space…scrumdiddlyumptious!) and in the midst of our catch-up she posted me this:

“Every memorable act in the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it you can accomplish miracles.” — Og Mandion

Amen!

In the name of enthusiasm – sprinkled with the very wonderful encouragement and feedback I’ve had on the whole v-logging thang – I’m going to be making it a regular occurence round these parts for SHIZZ! I’m actually toying with the idea of setting up a portion of my new studio (yes, yes! I have a studio, can you BELIEVE IT?!!!! More on that to come, I think I’ll post some photos of it pretty soon) as a bit of a makeshift TV set. We shall see.

I feel like I’m finally emerging from the foggy haze that has been the start of this year. Thank heavens. We really have had one trauma after another. And now I’m finally ready to start getting back on the damn horse and kicking its ass. (Disclaimer: metaphor only. No horses or asses were harmed in the typing of this blog entry).

The point is, I’m ready to make some plans.

PS. I now have a facebook fan page! Please join me in my quest for inflating my ego world domination if you please. There’s a link if you scroll down a wee bit! Would love to have you. x

I acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi, Wakka Wakka and Butchulla peoples, the First Nation Traditional Owners of Country, and custodians of the land and waters on which I live and work, and all the peoples who have welcomed me on Country. I pay respects to all Elders past and present and acknowledge the young leaders who are working beside Elders in our cultural industries in the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices. I recognise all First Nation peoples as the original storytellers of these lands and acknowledge the important role they continue to play in our community.
